This is archived documentation for the 1.8 branch. New features ship only in version 2; this reference stays for projects that have not moved yet.
The 1.x branch is in maintenance
Security updates are released until 2027-06-10. New formats and the query language will not appear in 1.x. The upgrade plan is in the migration guide.
How v1 differs#
- Callback API:
sverlo.parser(opts).parse(line, cb). - The record has
time(a string),severity,messageanddata. - Loaded with
require('sverlo'), Node.js 14 and newer. - The object stream is created with
sverlo.createStream(opts).
